How to reach us
The NTM Plasy Building Heritage Centre joins this year’s European Heritage Days with a programme that commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pilsen-born traveller Miroslav Zikmund and follows the exhibition Filmmakers Hanzelka and Zikmund. Entrance to the exhibition, the exhibitions and all the accompanying programme is free on this day!
The photography workshop on creative photographic techniques led by photographer Ivo Kornatovský reminds us, just like the exhibition Filmaři Hanzelka a Zikmund, that the journey of photography and film can be full of surprises.
ABSTRACT
A print is a type of graphic art representation created as drawing, painting and decaling using photochemical solutions (fixer or also developer) on the surface of black and white light-sensitive photographic material. This peculiarly creative process is realised in a normal light environment. The result depends to a certain extent on chance and cannot be repeated identically. This technique can be further suitably supplemented, e.g. by tinting, colouring, vignetting, collage, etc. The structure can also be combined with the so-called photogram as well as with the procedures of enlarging or copying the negative in the darkroom or it can be freely modified using the digital image processing tools in the PC. This non-standard method of making an image develops the abilities of human creativity, imagination, associations, etc.
The event is financially supported by the Pilsen Region (www.turisturaj.cz).
