New visiting season of NTM Centre for Building Heritage in Plasy starts on Easter with exhibition called: Fulfilled dreams. The age-old longing to fly.
The exhibition is one of the exhibitions that are prepared as a celebration of 100th anniversary of formation of Czechoslovakia Republic. This exhibition presents difficult way of development of folk flying in Czechoslovakian history. The desire for flying crosses borders – social, age, gender. One of the main questions is: How to build a plane that would be available for wide circle of enthusiasts? This exhibition will introduce to you flying motors for “folk planes” as well as women in Czechoslovak aviation history.
Thanks to very positive response from our visitors we have decided to keep open our exhibition called Czech Ceramic Wall Tiles – It shows the manufacturing process and development of the wall and floor tiles. Or you may visit our exposition of Inventor and patriot Ludvík Otčenášek – from bicycles to space rockets.
The Civil Engineering exhibition presents the development of historical construction components, materials and structures in an attractive and comprehensive manner. This traditional building techniques exposition is extended by the “study cabinet “of architect Jan Kaplický. This cabinet represent more than 50 original models from this great architect and you may let yourself to be inspired by his work and life.
For the summer season, a number of craft days and workshops, as well as commemorated tours of authentic period workshops, are being planned at the Yard of Building Crafts.
On March 30th – it is the 1. day of the opening season – there will be in cooperation with airplane-modelling Club Plasy (Leteckomodelářský klub Plasy) prepared programme for children. Children will get a little present attending this programme.
