The 2018 visitor season begins at Easter with a new exhibition called Dreams Come True. The age-old desire to fly.
The exhibition is part of a series of exhibitions marking the 100th anniversary of the republic and shows the difficult path to folk flying in Czechoslovak history. The desire to fly crosses borders – social, age, gender. How to make an aircraft accessible to a wider range of people? The exhibition will present the aircraft engines for these folk aircraft and also women in the history of Czechoslovak aviation.
Thanks to the great interest of visitors, you can visit the Treasures in Czech Ceramic Tiles exhibition later this year, which focuses on the development of ceramic tiles in our territory, and visit the Inventor and Patriot exhibition Ludvík Očenášek – from bicycles to space rockets.
The permanent Exposition of Architecture, which introduces visitors to traditional architecture in an attractive way, is complemented by the so-called “study cabinet” of the prominent modern architect Jan Kaplický. In it, you can browse among more than fifty of his original models, let yourself be addressed by his architecture and life.
Several craft days and workshops are planned for the summer season in the Court of Building Crafts, as well as guided tours of authentically furnished period workshops.
30. on March 1 – the first day of the new visitor year – an afternoon programme for children is prepared in cooperation with the Plasy Aeromodelling Club, from which they will receive a small gift.
