How to reach us
During its existence since the mid-12th century, the grounds of the Plasy monastery have undergone many changes that have left their mark on its appearance; some are still distinctive today, others are barely noticeable now. Even today, the site is undergoing an unprecedentedly extensive transformation, which is also an opportunity to gain new insights into its history. This is one of the reasons why this year’s conference is aimed at presenting new findings obtained directly from the archaeological or building history “field”, but also at presenting new findings on the changes of the monastery based on new study or new interpretation of written, iconographic, material or other sources.
During the conference, there will be an opportunity to visit the new exhibitions of the Centre for Building Heritage and to take part in a guided tour
monastery grounds, focused mainly on new findings. The programme will also include a social evening in the newly adapted parts of the monastery grounds.
