The NTM Plasy Centre for Building Heritage joins this year’s European Heritage Days with a programme commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pilsen-born traveller Miroslav Zikmund and following the exhibition Filmmakers Hanzelka and Zikmund.

Entrance to the exhibition, the exhibitions and all the accompanying programme is free on this day!

13:30, 15:00, 16:30 / STRUCTURE / workshop of creative photographic techniques with Ivo Kornatovsky.


18:00 / TANGO ANTARCTICO / lecture by hydrobiologist, polar explorer and traveller Maria Bulínová, who discovered a new species of diatom on Vega Island in Antarctica and named it Hantzschia zikmundiana


20:00 / outdoor film screening THE CENTURY OF MIROSLAV ZIKMUND / a biopic that provides a distinctive look at the tumultuous history of the twentieth century through the eyes of a man who knew the world.
