One of the granary floors offers the opportunity to put one’s building creativity and skills to test. Visitors of all ages will learn that it is possible to build surprisingly complex structures using simple wooden blocks. A mass model of the Plasy monastery enables construction of the grounds in various historical eras. The youngest visitors will appreciate a padded seat and a simple “archetypal building set”. Isn’t it true that great architects and engineers built their first creations with a set of building blocks!
There are also interactive screens with quizzes, gap fills and other enjoyable games testing your learning from the exhibition. Magnetic puzzles make up front facades in various architectural styles, a so called “architect’s desk” demonstrates the development of blueprints throughout history, “a pull out” offers a glimpse of architectural terminology. The building playground is also the place to work with children exhibition guides or to create one’s own design of a building.
