How to reach us
European funds help implement small and large projects across the Czech Republic. The Ministry of Regional Development together with the beneficiaries present successful projects at open days. One of them is a day at the Centre of Building Heritage of the National Technical Museum in Plasy. Come and see where EU funds help and enjoy a day of fun and learning
As part of the rich programme that will take place on the grounds of the Plasy Monastery all day, the National Technical Museum invites you to visit the Building Heritage Exposition and two types of guided tours free of charge:
A) THE DOOR OF BUILDING WORKS with the programme “How Master Ondřej came to the mason’s spoon”
The tour is suitable for all ages and will interest children and adults. It includes demonstrations of work on authentic historical machines, and as you go through the historical workshops, a mason’s spoon is gradually produced, which will become a reward for the most attentive visitor at the end.
(B) EXPOSITION OF BUILDING-HISTORICAL RESEARCH
A tour in which visitors learn to observe the details of buildings, read them and draw certain conclusions by means of demonstrations of specific structural elements on a building that has undergone an interesting evolution from the Middle Ages to the present day. It is very engaging, but not entirely suitable for children.
Tour times:
