Treasures in Czech ceramic tiles from 18 March 2017
At the end of the 19th century, the appearance of the interiors of buildings, as well as their facades, underwent a significant transformation. The reason for this was the growing popularity of ceramic tiles, the production of which was then undergoing great qualitative progress. Together with the German ones, it was mainly Czech factories that were successful on the world market with their products.
The new exhibition in the CSD Plasy shows the development of ceramic tiles on the production of three Czech ceramic factories in Rakovník, Chlumčany and Horní Bříza.
The visitor will be introduced to the production processes and techniques of the past, as well as contemporary fashion trends and other influences that were rapidly taking shape in the design of both tiles and tiles.
The exhibition is produced in direct cooperation with RAKO – LASSELSBERGER, Ltd. and will run from 18 March to 26 November 2017.
